Account Executive – Portland Monthly Magazine
Portland, OR (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and strategic Account Executive to join our team in Portland. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth through integrated print and digital advertising solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive seller who excels at new business development, builds strong client relationships, and delivers customized, results-driven marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive print and digital advertising revenue within the Portland market
  • Prospect, develop, and close new business while growing existing client relationships
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with clients and agency contacts, serving as a trusted advisor
  • Develop customized proposals across print, digital display, sponsored content, email, and social media
  • Identify client goals and recommend strategic solutions that deliver measurable results and ROI
  • Manage an active sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM updates
  • Retain and grow accounts through renewals, upselling, and long-term partnership development
  • Stay informed on market trends, client industries, and the competitive landscape
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, editorial, and ad operations) to ensure seamless campaign execution
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage clients and internal teams
  • Proven experience in sales and account management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
  • Proficiency in digital and social media platforms, with the ability to develop strategic media plans
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and focused on delivering exceptional client experiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience in media, publishing, or advertising sales is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission structure
  • Opportunity to directly impact earnings based on performance and revenue growth

Pay: $50,000 annual base salary + uncapped commission
